Using a light and soft weighted garn by Red Heart and a 3m crochet hook. A crochet but warm fabric for chill spring mornings with a burst of color to brighten up morning grey chores. Start picot on tie from 2nd chain from hook as follows; sc1 into each stitch x3, *ch3 slip back 3rd from hook, sc1 into next stitch x 4* repeat to the 'v' part of work to the other corner and secure with a marker and enough cut length to continue picot on the 2nd strap to chain on. Second tie strap followed by Picot EdgingSlip stitch on and ch60 for second tie, working back with wrong side facing in order to have picots facing up the right way or away from ones head when tied on, continue picot as before to end of strap and hdc3 in the last chain, creating a turn and work back with hdc1 in each chain all the way across front an to the end of the first strap (When working front don't hdc into starting center chain but extra hdc either side of instead) 3hdc in the end of the first tie and secure off. Weave in all ends. Finish with Button and button LoopSew on a button to the bottom of a corner or top of a strap and sew in the ends. Directly opposite bottom or top of strap slip stitch and chain 10 or more depending on button size. Check fit to button before slip stitching to the beginning of the chain. Secure button tie and weave in ends of the button tie. In Closingfor a larger cluster, one can use a larger hook. My favorite way to weak my kerchief is over my hair when it is Dutch braided.
